The LWF Uganda Program is looking for a qualified and experienced person to fill the following position:

Job Title: Field Monitor (Food/Cash).

No. of Positions: Eight (08)

Place of Assignment: Adjumani and Palorinya District.

Reports To: Project Officer.

Starting date: ASAP

Duration of Contract: 12 months

The closing date for applications: 4<sup>th</sup>, January 2026.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of Food/Cash Distribution Officer, the incumbents will be supervising and coordinating the distribution of cash and food to beneficiaries, providing information to beneficiaries.

Duties and responsibilities

·       Supervise and support coordinating the verification and litigation team at the Food Distribution Points including timely coordination with field level UNHCR, OPM & WFP staff during distribution.

· Monitor the implementation of GFA process at the FDP to ensure the assistance program at the local level is provided to fully registered and verified beneficiaries only.

·       Monitor and review the overall commodity movements - food for targeted beneficiaries and cash transfer programme, the temporary storage at the FDP, process of food commodities and distribution at the site and verify if the amounts received have been properly recorded.

·       Check the quality of the commodity and report any damaged or suspected to be damaged.

·    Monitor distribution and management of food and non-food items at the site and provide feedback to Food/cash officer and others on the distribution process as well supporting the transporters delivering food at the Food Distribution Points.

·   In liaison with the Food/Cash distribution Officer and other stakeholders, organize Post Distribution Meetings at the end of each food and cash distribution.

·       Troubleshoot all distribution issues at field level, with guidance from Programme Support Assistant, FDM, Emergency Coordinator or Programme Manager.

·     Compile information on GFA process and submit monthly report to the Food/Cash distribution officers. Collect qualitative information and human-interest stories from the field for the donors.

·     Working with refugee leaders and different security teams at the FDP to ensure safety of beneficiaries, staff and properties while working with Food Management Committees, Causal workers and porters at the Food Distribution Point to ensure complaints are being timely resolved with support from the complaints help desk team.

·       Support Cash/Food distribution officers in organizing and maintaining project files and databases as well as plan, organize and monitor distribution of food and cash to the beneficiaries.

·       Facilitate the identification designing and implementing of appropriate training needs for distribution staff. Support in the elaboration of communication material, by taking pictures and making short videos.

· Compile information on GFA process and submit monthly report to the Food/Cash distribution officers; Collect qualitative information and human-interest stories from the field for the donors.

·       Any other duties assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisors.

Minimum qualifications and experience required. 

·       Should have a bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Nutrition and Food security, project planning management, public or business administration with the option of project planning and management.

·       At least three years of work experience in similar project or related project is required.

Core competences

·       Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

·       Good communication skills, such as writing, listening and speaking, planning and negotiating and report writing skills.

·       Must be influential, and has the ability to focus on multiple tasks at the same time, very good public relations, patience and emotional intelligence.
